Custom golf headcovers with lowered MOQ in 2026 — Links Sports Co OEM headcover manufacturing update

Our MOQ Policy Update: Why We Lowered Minimum Orders for Custom Headcovers and Accessories in 2026

Starting June 2026, Links Golf Sports has reduced its minimum order quantities for a range of custom accessories — including headcovers, shoe bags, and valuables pouches. This is a deliberate policy decision, and we want to explain the reasoning behind it clearly so that clubs, pro shops, and retailers can understand what has changed and how to take advantage of it.

What Changed

Our previous minimum order quantities for custom accessories were set at levels that made sense for large-volume wholesale orders but created a barrier for smaller clubs and pro shops that wanted to trial our products before committing to a full merchandise program.

Effective June 2026, the updated minimums are as follows. Custom headcovers — including our full-grain leather puff letter headcovers, pebble grain leather sets, and hexagon leather designs — are now available from 24 units per design. Custom shoe bags, including our wax canvas and full-grain leather styles, are available from 30 units. Valuables pouches and accessories are available from 36 units. These quantities represent a reduction of approximately 40 percent from our previous minimums across these product categories.

Our minimums for full golf bags — stand bags, Sunday bags, and carry bags — remain unchanged, as the production economics of bag manufacturing require higher volumes to maintain quality and cost efficiency.

Why We Made This Change

The decision came from listening to our clients. Over the past two years, we have received consistent feedback from golf club merchandise managers and pro shop buyers that they wanted to trial our accessories alongside their existing bag programs before committing to a full branded accessories line.

The logic is straightforward. A club that already carries a branded stand bag from another supplier is not going to switch their entire bag program based on a catalog photograph. But if they can order 30 custom shoe bags in their club colors, see how their members respond, and evaluate the quality firsthand, the conversation about a broader merchandise relationship becomes much easier.

We also recognized that the accessories market operates differently from the bag market. A golf club might order 50 stand bags per year for their shop, but they might order 200 headcovers — as gifts, as tournament prizes, as individual retail items. The accessories category has higher velocity and lower per-unit commitment, which means lower MOQs are commercially viable for us while opening up a much larger pool of potential clients.

The Accessories Line: What Is Available

Our current accessories line covers four main categories, all available for custom branding and OEM production.

Headcovers are our most popular accessories category. We produce three primary styles: the puff letter headcover in full-grain leather, available in a range of colorways and with custom embossed or embroidered lettering; the pebble grain leather headcover set in deep teal and other colorways, with a clean contemporary aesthetic; and the hexagon leather headcover in 100 percent premium full-grain leather, with a geometric panel construction that has become a signature design for several of our club clients. All headcover styles are available with custom club logos, text, and color combinations.

Shoe bags are the second major category. We offer styles in wax canvas with full-grain leather trim, full-grain leather, and a classic nylon and leather combination. All styles feature ventilation panels, full-length zippers, and are sized to accommodate golf shoes up to UK size 13. Custom embossing, embroidery, and printed labels are available on all styles.

Valuables pouches and small accessories round out the line. These include our wax canvas and leather valuables pouch, our leather drawstring bag, and our insulated golf cooler bag. These items work particularly well as tournament gifts and member welcome packages, where a branded accessory at a modest price point creates a strong impression without requiring a significant budget commitment.

How to Place a Trial Order

The process for placing a trial order under the new MOQ policy is straightforward. Contact us through the inquiry form on our website, specifying the product style, quantity, and your branding requirements. Our team will respond within 24 hours with a formal quotation, a production timeline, and a request for your logo files and color specifications.

For clubs and pro shops placing their first order with us, we offer a free sample program for orders above the new minimums. We will produce two pre-production samples in your specified colorway and branding before committing to full production, giving you the opportunity to approve the final product before we begin the production run.

Lead times for accessories under the new MOQ policy are typically six to eight weeks from artwork approval to delivery. We ship globally via DHL Express and can accommodate urgent timelines for tournament and event orders with advance notice.

Looking Ahead

This MOQ reduction is the first in a series of changes we are making to our ordering process in 2026. Later this year, we plan to introduce an online sample request system that will allow clubs and pro shops to request physical samples of our standard colorways without a formal quotation process. We are also developing a custom accessories configurator that will allow buyers to visualize their branding on our product range before placing an order.

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for golf clubs of all sizes to access the quality of materials and craftsmanship that Links Golf Sports is known for. The best way to understand what we make is to hold it in your hands — and we are committed to removing every barrier that stands between you and that experience.

If you have questions about the new MOQ policy or want to discuss a specific project, our team is available through the contact page on our website. We look forward to hearing from you.
